It brings all the iconic Sony aesthetics we are used for many years now.The design in particular remains the same,a rectangular brick with sharp edges. The phone has same aluminum build and is surprisingly heavy and weighs 205 grams. There is a large circular camera sensor on the back with circular fingerprint sensor right below it might be a little above than we are accustomed to.

Display
This time we are getting a large 6 inches with thinner bezels all around but not so thin so don’t get your hopes up. The resolution is Full HD with an aspect ratio of 18:9.So we can expect to deliver good viewing angles and multimedia experience.
Internals
The smartphone houses a Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz along with 4 or 6GB RAM and storage options of 32 and 64GB respectively. This puts it right in competition with Nokia 6. There is an adreno 508 GPU that will give you average gaming performance. Storage can be expanded by SD card but it will use SIM 2 slot. The smartphone comes with Android 8.0 out of the box but not 8.1.
Camera
So at the back we are getting pretty iconic large 23MP Sony sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 which means you will get pretty detailed daylight shots but night shots…..Not so much. The front camera is 8MP which will give decent selfies given it is a Sony sensor.
Battery
There is a large 3580mAH battery that supports Qualcom Quick charge 3.0. There is a USB Type C to charge it so charging speed and data transfer will very snappy.
After going through the specifications Sony Xperia XA2 Plus seems to be a very solid all round option but the pricing still remains in question. If Sony is not able to price it competitively than it might not get the attention it deserves. SO that all stay tune for price updates.
