Microsoft just announced Surface Go which as the name suggests is a cheaper as well as smaller version of their more premium Surface pro. Surface Go looks just like Surface Pro on the outside with same adjustable kick stand just smaller. Surface Go comes with pretty good specs and can be used as a daily driver by students, Kids especially because it is them it is meant for. But it can also be used by Businessman as a more portable option. The surface has very good build quality and it weigh just over 520 grams.

Internals
Internals are pretty decent given the lower price point. It is aimed to compete with Apple Ipads which also sell at same price range. The surface pro has 10” display with 3:2 aspect ration and 1800×1200 resolution which looks pretty nice. It comes with window 10 out of the box S mode but you can upgrade to full mode. It has an Intel Gold 4415u Dual core processor along with 4GB SSD RAM and 64GB storage and it can go up to 8GB SSD RAM and 256GB storage. There is an Intel HD 610 GPU also. It has 8MP Rear and 5MP Front Camera with Windows Hello support. There Dual front facing speakers for media consumption. The battery life is claimed to be up to 9 hours which is also pretty decent and it charges through a USB C 3.1 that can also be used for data transfer.
Accessories & Price
Microsoft has also introduced a couple of accessories that include a Pen that goes separately for 99$, a wireless mouse for 35$ and a Keyboard for 99$. While the Surface Go itself goes for 399$ for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage base model and 599$ for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will go on sale at the end of July. Stay tuned.
