Samsung is been considering the midrange market for quite sometime now. After the launch of Upper midrange A8 and A8+ we kind of knew that moderately priced galaxy were coming. And they are here and they are to be named A6 and A6+. They just recently got certified on FCC in US. Recently they were rumored to be exclusive to Europe and Middle east market but now they are coming to US after all.
The FCC certification also gave us an idea about what the specifications in these handsets would be like. According to Geekbench the A6 will support an exynos 7870 chipset that has been used previously in galaxy smartphones like galaxy A3(2017). It will be paired with 3GB of RAM and may be 16GB or 32GB storage variants. A6+ on the other hand is reported to support a Snapdragon 625 processor which is a favorite among the midrange section. It will have 4GB of RAM along with 32/64 GB storage versions. Both devices will have android 8.0 Oreo on board. Let’s see what we get in the end.
