1. Apple’s 2018 Ipad

Apple has announced their 2018 edition of 9.7 inch Ipad Pro. Their are some interesting things about this new edition. First of all this time apple has aimed at budget range by pricing the 2018 Ipad at an attractive price of 329$. This Ipad pro is aimed at helping the education department so to make it affordable for the students Apple has decided not to incorporate their latest internals but internals from a year before. The internals are not that bad considering the price point. It comes with Apple’s A10 Fusion Chipset along with 2GB RAM which considering Apple’s Software management should be enough. It comes with two storage option either 32 or 128GB version with no storage expansion. The primary camera is 8MP which is not bad.A very useful edition is support for stylus which is gonna add an extra 99$ to the budget but option is nice to have. Battery is gonna give 10 hours of multimedia consumption which means it will get you thorough a day of heavy use easily.

2.P20 and P20 Pro Conquer the DXO Mark ratings :

Huawei’s latest flagships trumped the smartphone camera department by their top of the line camera results. P20 easily has easily defeated Google Pixel 2. Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and IPhone X that stand at 98 99 and 98 respectively by a margin of three points with itself at 102. On the other hand P20 pro manages to defeat even the P20 by a large margin of 6 Points with itself standing at whooping 109 points. I think all the smartphone giants seriously need to reconsider their strategies before they release their upcoming flagships cause Huawei has left them nowhere in this battle ground.

3. OnePlus’ Notch Controversy

Earlier this week OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei confirmed that their next Flagship will indeed have a notched display. After two days of announcement he took to twitter and posted a tweet that said ”Love the notch” but that only made the situation worse and at last he had to take that tweet off. After this twitter debacle Pete Lau came with an explanation. He explained why they had to settle for a notch display. First of it said that recently there were problems of product shortage cause they used the parts of their individual design that made it impossible to meet the customer demands. So they had to go for an alternative that is readily available in the market. Secondly they had to keep the front camera module close to center so that Face Unlock works as efficiently as it has with 5T. Thirdly they also considered pop up camera as in Vivo apex concept but technology is not ready yet and there are durability concerns. Lastly he assured that the software has already been customized to work efficiently with display. They have also tested a 1000 apps from playstore. But I think fans will have to wait for the final product to confirm that……

4.LG’s Query About the Notch :

So LG has delayed their 2018 G series flagship due to alleged revamp of their smartphone division. Renders of their new flagship code named judy surfaced that included a notch on top.And it clearly proves there is no such thing as revamp going on. So they went to reddit users on android and asked their opinion about the notch. It said ”What are your thoughts on ‘the Notch’?,We would love to gather some more feedback to share with our R&D team — and this is where you come in,So… what do you think? Love the Notch? Or is it Notch your thing?” But as expected the response was not as they wanted it to be as everyone was against the idea of a notch. And like OnePlus’ tweet debacle it was a faliure too.

5.Huawei Starts Y7 Prime (2018) Preorder In Pakistan:

It also supports dual sim along with a dedicated SD card slot. It has android 8.0 oreo built in. that supports split screen along with other handy functions. The battery is 3000mAH which is not that great given the large display. This phone is up for Preorder from 30 March to 6th of April at a jaw dropping low price of Rs19,999.
