Samsung Galaxy note 9 is going to be the next big thing from Samsung. Samsung has teased and unpacked event for August 9 and we are just a month away from the launch. We have been  hearing the rumors about this device for couple of months and it’s time to get them all in my place. there are are a number of thing we have to talk about So let’s get right into it.

Invitation For Note 9 Launch Event

The S Pen

S Pen For Note 9

Yeah I know S Pen is probably not the right place to start But Samsung is emphasizing a lot on S Pen this time around. The image on the unpacked invitation is actually the button on S Pen. S Pen is rumored to have some new capabilities to make it useful more than just note keeping.First of all S Pen will have Bluetooth functionality so that it can communicate wirelessly or without in contact with the smartphone. That means S Pen should have a battery inside to juice it up without the smartphone.Whether the battery is removable or not we will have to wait to know about that.

Secondly, S Pen  will be able to control the music on the phone and other ordinary tasks so that you don’t have to pick up your phone every time you need to  perform a simple task. Anyways to confirm all the rumors we will have to wait.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Fingerprint Sensor

Fingerprint Sensor Placement

We have been hearing rumors and there have been a lot of hype that Samsung might include an in-display fingerprint sensor for note 9 but seeing the cad renders and prototypes emerging for last couple of months which show a physical fingerprint sensor on the back of the device suggest that we might no be getting it after all as Samsung does not deem the technology to be good enough as of now so they are sticking to a classic fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Design

Renders For Note 9 Design

Samsung’s Note series is one of the most gorgeous devices.Last year’s Note 8 was praised for its beautiful design and note 9 will not be any different.  they will not be a big design change but some improvements in the current design. First of all the biggest complaint with the note 8’s design was its fingerprint sensor placement and this is going to be fixed. Samsung is moving the fingerprint sensor below the cameras to make it reachable. The camera placement remains horizontal as before. Only problem is that note 9 will be a huge device and cameras are present near the top and fingerprint sensor right below might not be that accessible but we will have to wait until the launch. In the prototypes that are emerging on the internet we also see a headphone jack below the device is a good sign which means Samsung still considers it to be a worthy inclusion. There are leaks about a new copper or a yellow colour variant in the works. That sounds interesting too.

Note 9 Display

Coming towards the front the screen size remains the same but the bezels might shrink a bit more so Note 9 may be bit smaller than the Note 8.The display will still be that gorgeous Amoled but brighter and more than 1000 nits brightness may be which is still unprecedented.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Cameras

Note 9 Cameras

Samsung debuted the dual camera setup on last year’s Note 8 and it was pretty good actually and further improved it with Galaxy S9 Plus. Samsung is not boasting anything new about the camera technology or any new camera hardware which means if their is any improvement in the camera it will solely be software based. Still no worries Samsung still has one of the best camera setups in smartphone industry. The front camera will still be 8MP and it might come with better portrait selfies.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Internals

he internals will be top notch. It will house Snapdragon 845 or Samsung’s Exynos 9810 along with 6/8 GB RAM with base model having 128GB storage and the higher end model supporting upto 512GB storage. There will still be a micro SD expansion option to expand the built in storage. The GPU will be Adreno 630 and it will deliver gaming performance like no other. Note 9 will come most probably with android 8.1 Oreo not with android P as history suggests and that is not a plus point.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Battery

This turns out to be the biggest problem for the tech giant and with the note series. Note series is supposed to be a productivity beast and for that you need power to juice it up. After the Note 7 battery problems Samsung decided to play safe and lower down the battery so they made batteries of 3300 mAh which is not enough for phone of this display size. But, Samsung seems to have figured it out and Note 9 is rumored to come with a whooping 4000mAH battery. This is gonna be pretty awesome but is it true or not we can’t confirm right now. With the battery of this size the phone’s weight will also increase and it will cross that 200g mark and yes that’s pretty heavy.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Speakers

Samsung introduced the dual stereo speakers with Galaxy S9 Plus where the ear piece also acts as a loudspeaker and the output is quite good actually. There is also a speaker below the display also Sound comes out clear, crisp and sufficiently loud. Galaxy Note 9 will surely come with even better sound quality.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Protection

IP68 Water and Dust Resistance

The front and back of the phone will be covered with Gorilla Glass 5 on front and the rear. The phone will have IP68 water and dust resistance which means it will have zero problems if you go on the beach play with sand or take it with you swimming, it can take all of this.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Pricing

With a phone having all these powerful specs and the Note logo on the back you can expect it to be pricey and yes Note 9 is going to start pretty much over 1 Lac Rupees or 1000 dollars. So you better have been saving for a year to buy it.

That’s all for now, Catch you in the next one.
